Envelopes on the tree~

In my life...family is the greatest gift under the Christmas tree of life.

I am not sure where or when the tradition of placing Christmas cards on the tree took place, but when I found this picture the other day and saw the cards placed between the branches, I smiled.

Finding a card on Christmas morning, tucked away in the tree, usually ment there was a little money from a grandparent or a parent for future purchases.

I have carried on this tradition with my children and I know they too will carry on this wonderful tradition with their families.
