The time is near and my final thoughts~

Papa got sick on Monday and they don't think he will pull through.

We gathered around the troops and sat with him the whole day.
Mom was actually quite talkative.

Sarah from hospice came and sang his favorite songs.
Mark had a really hard time saying goodbye and told papa to not
go and stay so they could have a beer.

The evening ended with a group hug, photo and a fun chat with the grands.

The great and wonderful Lynn Edward Anduss has left our earthly world and gone to heaven.
With Murray, Kristin and myself by his side, he took his last breath.
What can I say about my dad...he was my everything.
My dad was the kindest and most loving person I know, he would do anything for his family and loved
being with his friends.  He was a huge CSU fan, loved going to the football and basketball
games, was a faithful member of Christ United Methodist Church, a dedicated member
of the Army Reserves, and loved life!

He loved the mountains, camping, grilling, and taking care of all his grand dogs.
He never missed a grandkids sporting event, dance recital,
pinewood derby, graduation or school function.  He also loved taking the
grandkids to the Donut Shop.
If there was an event, he was there.
He loved to travel with family and friends and enjoyed taking out the big
camper.  He was life long friends with his high school and college classmates, and
he never tired of hosting travelers at their house.  Mom would make sure there was
food on the table and dad would always take them on a tour of his
yard and garden.
Family was his favorite.  Life centered around his family.  He worked hard and
played hard and never, ever complained about the hand he was dealt, at least
not to us children.  He loved my mom so unconditionally.
His later years after retirement were spent volunteering at the visitor center, and traveling
with his children and grandchildren.

These past few years have been really hard for both my dad and our family.
First watching my mom get Alzheimer's and then when he started showing signs of the disease.
He has walked this journey with grace and seldom lost his smile.
He still remembered each one of us when we would visit and always held
our hand and gave us the biggest hug  when it was time to leave.
Rest in peace Papa, take care of the grand dogs and have a wonderful visit with
Jill and Taylor and all our other family babies in heaven.
They are looking forward to seeing you.

I love you,  Susan
