Mom's 88th Birthday~

Today is mom's 88th birthday.  Kristin and I will get together in Longmont and facetime with both mom and dad.  It is bitter sweet as mom doesn't remember much or anything at all and will probably not even realize it's her birthday.

The tip picture is of my birthday many years ago.  We had tea at a tea house in Longmont and wore funny hats.  My mom was always creative.  She would plan out of the ordinary ways to celebrate holidays and birthdays.  I wish I inherited that ability to plan things creatively.  So today Kristin and I will sing happy birthday to her and who knows, maybe I will have a couple of party hats to celebrate  this milestone.

Oh how I wish this covid time was over and I could once again join mom and dad at morning star and cut their hair and wash their clothes and just be with them in the moment.  I know there are families everywhere that are thinking the same thing.  This being without our loved ones and not being able to touch them or sit with them for more than 30 minutes is just awful.  This virus needs to move on and not harm anymore people.  Sooooo sad!

Happy Birthday Mom, I love you and miss you and care for you so much.  May your day be extra special and you somehow know how much you are loved.
