Taking a reset attitude~
Sometimes in my life it is time to take a reset attitude. Reset my brain to become less cluttered. Get out the happenings of the world, breathe more, focus on what I really enjoy and do them...just do the.
The happenings of this past week were awful and stuck in my mind. The riots at the capitol and the overwhelming media coverage played a part in my mind of unrest. I am taking back my mental frame of mind and focusing on the things I really love. Walking, creating, baking, listening to music, visiting with my family and playing with Sunny. I love growing things and who knows, I might start some flowers in the bedroom upstairs.
Today I would like to sew some more tea towels. I love creating ideas I find on pinterest. I will cut up some snowmen, bunnies, tea pots and flowers and assemble them in fun ways. I will get back to the basics and love the things I do best.
It is Jan. 11th. Mom's birthday is in 2 days and she will be 88. The past 3 years have been a struggle for her and now she pretty much glances up to the sky. I think she knows who I am, but she can't get the words out. Kristin and I will facetime with her and dad. Birthday's are not what they used to be.
Here is mom on her 85th birthday. Dinner at Bisetti's. It was a beautiful night filled with family fun.
We got a little snow yesterday. Not a lot, but just enough to wet the grass and give moisture to the earth. I love the snow and wish we would get a good one soon. Snow and the mountains are my happy things.
I pray for a peaceful America in this time of turmoil and for a healthy and happy 2021. We need to bring people together again as it's been a very difficult past 4 years. There is much division...it's not pretty.
Happy Monday~
