Day 2 of Newton and touring the town~
On Friday morning we got up, had coffee and a little bite to eat
at the hotel and we ventured out to see Newton things and
special interests. These cute little pumpkins were at a very nice
craft/antique store in Newton.
Reenie was able to find a cute little sunflower top for Brynn.
One special interest place was at the Mennonite Settler
sculpture. It was so fun to see something I have never seen before in Newton.
Usually when we come into Newton, we never get to just see things.
A very warm day again and windy, but we were troupers.
The rail station in Newton.
We also visited the Blue Sky sculpture.
An artist from Newton created this sculpture to show how pretty
the clouds can be in this Kansas landscape.
It truly was windy that day.
Our last stop of the day was to get some sunflowers for mom and dad.
We stopped by the cemetery and placed the flowers.
It was so dry that we had a hard time placing them in the ground, but
we managed to push hard and get them placed.
